For parents, siblings, and helpers

The Maker Path

Eight lands, from a first hello to a job and a tiny business.

One path, in order

The map shows eight island lands. They unlock in order, because each skill builds on the one before. Your learner always knows where they are and what is next; the map marks their spot with their own buddy.

  • Meet AI: say hello, ask a first question, catch a mistake, and know when to ask a person.
  • Ask and Learn: plan a day, learn about anything, keep private things private, and spot tricks.
  • Make Words: cards, stories, a real email, and kind replies, in the learner's own voice.
  • Make Pictures: stickers, posters, and a tiny comic, directed by the learner.
  • Make and Sell: pick one thing to make, brand it, price it, and try a market day.
  • Robot Helpers: teach an AI helper rules and a repeating job, safely.
  • Everyday AI: meals and shopping lists, morning routines, confusing mail, and calm.
  • AI at Work: a first resume, interview practice, new tasks, and team messages.

Free roam, if you want it

Settings has a Free roam switch that unlocks every land at once. It is off by default because the order matters for most learners, but it is there for revisiting favorites or for learners who already know the early skills.

Practice first, then the real thing

Many quests end with an invitation to try the same skill in a real AI tool, like ChatGPT or Claude. The invitation always says what will open and never requires an account to earn the badge. Practice completion is always enough.

For real-tool moments, sit together the first time. Your learner brings the skill; you bring the account and the judgment calls.
